2 years old, female: N’Djili was found in a bar near the Kinshasa N’Djili airport. A visitor who had visited Lola told us that N’Djili was kept an owl and other exotic animals. After an undercover operation, we rescued N’Djiji and brought her to Lola. She is a sweet, shy baby, and the youngest of the group. But she loves to eat! It is amazing that such a tiny bonobo can put away so much food. Her favorite activity is being carried around to explore the forest by some of the older bonobos in the nursery.
